As a child, I collected all sorts of beautiful things.
There were pretty stones, bottle lids, candy wrappers, little stickers on imported oranges, buttons from my mother's old clothes, and even cicada shells.
I kept them in a cookie tin and treasured them, but gave them away when I grew up and moved out of the house.
But I still remember the contents.
I embroidered them and turned them into brooches, as if to re-confirm the precious collection of my childhood.
It is a one-of-a-kind piece that you won't find anywhere else, and no one else will have it.
The satin with a core attached is embroidered with threads and beads in fine detail.
It is so lightweight that you may forget you are wearing it.
Many small beads are used, but they are held in place from the back with adhesive, so they are hard to remove.
Each piece is carefully handcrafted and one-of-a-kind.
Materials: satin, beads, variegated thread, gold thread, metal, etc.
Country of origin: Japan
Overall size: approx. 4,5 x 3,5 cm
Handling notes: Due to the nature of the material, friction and rain may cause the fabric to become furry and the beads to fade in color.
